In addition to Naxos, Mark has developed strategic partnerships and supports a global consulting firm–Brimstone Consulting focussed on leadership alignment and coaching.

Most recently, he was Senior Vice President and a member of the executive leadership team at MeadWestvaco (MWV), a paper and packaging firm. He led several of MWV’s packaging businesses including Beverage, Beauty and Personal Care, and Home and Garden. He was responsible for MWV’s significant European business. During part of his tenure at MWV he was responsible for their emerging markets strategy, with particular emphasis on China and India.

Previously, Mark was based in Amsterdam, Netherlands while serving as President, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and was also Senior Vice President/Group President Asia and Latin America, for Johnson Diversey, now part of Sealed Air Corporation.

Seasoned global executive with experience leading large, complex businesses in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Managed European businesses and operations for three multinational companies. Broad experience includes manufacturing, sales, marketing, merger/acquisition, and general management in developed and emerging markets.

Change leader with success driving restructuring activities in times of market downturns and economic crises, including post-9/11 demand reductions, 2008 worldwide economic crisis, and 2012 European financial crisis.  Have led significant change management and business improvement projects including EVA analysis and action, SG&A and organization restructuring, focused sales efforts, and divestiture of unprofitable businesses and customers.

Consistently organized for success. At MWV, led transition from a manufacturing based structure to organizing around customers and global end markets, created global account organization, instituted customer partnering, and developed B2B2C approach which created value for customers and MWV.

During a 24-year career at Kimberly-Clark Corporation he held a variety of operations, sales and marketing, and general management positions in North America and Europe, culminating with his leadership of Kimberly-Clark Professional, the corporation’s largest business-to-business division.

Mark believes in serving his community to make it a better place and currently works with several non-profit organizations including Virginia Commonwealth University’s College of Humanities and Sciences Advisory Board and Executive Athletic Board, Children’s Museum of Richmond, Heart of Virginia Boy Scout Council, Friends Association, Richmond Alzheimer’s Association, Richmond Association for Corporate Growth, Michael Robinson Foundation, and the University of Maine Pulp and Paper Foundation.

Mark holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine, and a MBA degree from Harvard Business School.

Mark’s hometown is Bucksport, Maine. Mark lives in Richmond, Virginia with his wife Melanie, daughter Kayla, and son Nathan.
